Many of these rules are scattered in the newbie guide, but they are compiled here for easy reference.


-- Misleading, lying, or relabeling pets as ones they are not, such as those with a shared stage 1 and selling or trading those pets is considered cheating. This applies to ALL PETS.

-- 404 Pets are ERRORS, and cannot be obtained by any means other than an unintended error encounter. When a 404 pet is obtained this does signify an error and should be reported so that the error can be fixed.

--Pets with unusual or 'joke' rarity are NOT TO BE OBTAINED BY NORMAL USERS. They are often place holders, bugs, or a joke. Unless an admin grants you a pet of unusual/joke rarity those are to be reported as well.

-- Pets with ??? are usually to grow and obtain a rarity. Unless the pet grows into it's final stage and is a unusual/joke rarity it is not to be reported.

-- FOLLOW THE RULES OF THE click GUIDE! We cannot stress this enough! The site is run PURELY by volunteers and bi-yearly site fundraisers, the more abuse it suffers the more we (staff) end up having to delay new pets and games, and also run more site fundraiser campaigns. We really, really, don't want to do this.

-- Image fishing, or the altering of urls to find pets is against the rules. As are posting spoilers to unreleased pets.

--Follow Trading Etiquette.

-- Do no harass users for pets, or message them about pets at random. Like wise do not guilt users in attempts to get a pet from them as well.

-- If a bug such as lot duplication, trade not going through, or missing minipets occurs, please post screencaps, Lot ID, Pet IDs, and as mush information as possible in the bug thread. Failure to provide evidence of such in the event of a loss will result in no return of lost pets/items.

-- Lying or attempting to provide false bug reports in an attempt to get better/more pets/silver/items will lead to a ban.

-- Posting hints or the solution to the underground riddle is against the rules. The only hints that should be posted about the passwords are the ones given by the site and by GMs! Giving more hints, linking to solutions, posting solutions or the steps to find the solution are against the rules. Doing these things can get you banned from the shops!

-- There is a secret shop on the minisite. The only hint we give for it is to look in the moon. Giving more hints to the shops location, or linking to the shop can result in disciplinary action.

-- DO NOT BUY OUT AN ENTIRE SHOP. Unless a pet has been sitting in the shop for over 15 minutes, please leave it! We understand wanting to collect pets for trophies, but taking all the pets in one sitting is considered rather rude to our other users. Please limit yourself! If we see people adopting out whole shop stocks on a constant basis we will ask that you limit yourself and possible wait a few days before adopting again!

-- Buying pets with the sole reason of reselling is considered rude, and if we see it happening often enough, we will ask that to refrain from buying anymore of those pets or from certain shops.

-- DO NOT MASS REFRESH GAMES! Spamming f5 or refreshing heavily taxes our serves. Please do not do it! The tax on the site can lead to crashes and bugs. PLEASE WAIT FOR A PAGE TO LOAD BEFORE HITTING REFRESH. If we see you doing this we will find ways to shut you down or ban you from games and events outright.

-- If a game has a bonus, please do not exploit this bonus! Bonuses are meant to help players get minis they want, NOT for user profit and abuse. This applies to all games.

-- Do not post in the announcement forum unless prompted by staff.

-- Do not make 'click my pet' style threads.

-- Posting negative threads to complain, whine, or beg for pets is not advisable.

-- The only hints allowed for site trophies are the ones on the trophy page.

-- DO NOT LOAN, SELL, OR OTHERWISE trade BATTLE PETS SO A USER MAY COMPLETE THE BATTLEDOME TROPHIES. Doing so is considered an exploit!

--Follow ALL the alternate account rules.

Special Edition Minipets
- DO NOT SELL OR trade SPECIAL EDITION PETS THAT YOU DO NOT OWN The user who bought, won, or otherwise obtained the SE pet from the shop or site are considered the SOLE OWNER of the SE and are the only ones allowed to sell of trade their SE.
In Example, user Chibizoo has the special edition Death Treat. She owns the 'rights' to that pet and can do whatever she likes with them. If she gives a Death Treat to Lizbot, the treat is now in Lizbot's possession, yet Lizbot does not own the 'rights' to the pet! She cannot sell or trade it. If caught selling or trading minipets that you do not own, you will be BANNED!

---Please remember: The minisite is run by a staff of pure volunteers, and is considered 'extra' to what we (staff) do for This is Halloween. Though we all work to keep things happening and working, the minisite is not our priority, and during large TiH events, the minisite will experience 'down time' in terms of new pets/features. Harassing staff to work on the minisite/your bug/you pet/etc, isn't just rude, it drains us and makes us reluctant to resume work on the site.
